Questions
Things people ask us
Is the casting process safe for newborns?
Absolutely. We use a baby-safe, food-grade alginate — the same material used by dentists. It sets quickly, is completely non-toxic, and causes no discomfort. Many babies sleep right through their session.
How long does a session take?
Most sessions take between 1–2 hours including setup, casting, and a relaxed chat. We never rush — your comfort and your baby's wellbeing always come first.
Do you come to us, or do we visit you?
Both options are available. We can travel to your home anywhere in Cheshire and the surrounding areas, or you're welcome to visit our studio. Home visits carry a small travel supplement.
How long until we receive the finished cast?
Most pieces are ready within 3–4 weeks. We'll keep you updated throughout the process and can discuss expedited timelines for special occasions.
Can we choose the finish after the session?
Yes — we'll discuss finish options with you at the session and you can take your time deciding. We offer natural white, stone, aged bronze, and 24ct gold leaf finishes.
